Who we are and what Novostar means to us
We, the people who make up a core part of the Novostar Hotels team, worked quite successfully in the Tunisian travel industry before 2013, providing ground handling service to guests from Russia. We really liked our job, but every day we faced problems related to accommodation and service in hotels. The outcome, alas, was unfortunate: tourists did not return to Tunisia in spite of a mild climate, wonderful sandy beaches, delicious Mediterranean cuisine, and interesting historical sites.
We were sure that it was unfair neither to travelers, nor to the country where we live and that we love so much. So we decided… to start a hotel where the guests would come back to. Come back, despite the fact that there are a lot of countries in the world and even more hotels which it would be interesting to visit. We believed that it was possible.
Our first project, a small 179 rooms-hotel, for three years from 2013 till 2015 was a best-seller of major Russian tour operators and was ranked as the best Tunisian hotel according to the independent rating websites Tripadvisor and TopHotels.
Since 2016 the Novostar Hotels chain has been growing with new hotels, so the total number of rooms now is 2700. All hotels follow the traditions of the brand carefully as these traditions have become the philosophy of service and a new standard of customer service. We aim to find a perfect balance when the guests sense an authentic atmosphere of Tunisia and, at the same time, they do not face the language barrier and not have to break their daily habits which give them joys at home.
And we were rewarded for the efforts! Up to 50% of tourists return to Novostar Hotels!
