Good news for those who are planning a trip to Tunisia. On February 15, 2022, the government of the country has already announced new entry rules for tourists. But the epidemiological situation in the world is gradually improving, so on February 25, restrictive measures aimed at countering COVID-19 were eased.
- Now travelers under the age of 18 can enter Tunisia without being vaccinated. Also they are not required to present a negative result of any tests.
- On arrival, only travelers over the age of 18 can be randomly subjected to rapid screening (TDR-Antigen). Such testing will be taken at the expense of the state. In case of a positive result, the infected person must self-isolate for 5 days in a booked hotel. If symptoms appear or remain, the quarantine is extended for another two days.
- Moreover, the Tunisian Travel Locator Form (Health Form) has been abolished until further notice. If you are going to Tunisia, you no longer have to present an E7MI certificate when boarding a plane.
In the previous version of the rules, only travelers under 6 years of age could enter the country without vaccination, and only such tourists were not required to present negative test results. Moreover, previously, all passengers, without exception, could be subjected to selective testing at the arrival airport.
